Abstract
A Hungarian Comparative Agendas Project (CAP) az MTA TK Politikatudományi Intézetében működik, célja a magyar közpolitika dinamikájának feltárása a különböző közpolitikai és politikai napirendek kvantitatív társadalomtudományi eszközökkel történő vizsgálatával. Mindehhez az Egyesült Államokban Frank Baumgartner és Bryan Jones nevével fémjelzett Policy Agendas Project közpolitikai tartalomelemző kódkönyvét adaptálja hazai környezetben. A kutatás azt célozza, hogy konzisztens adatbázist hozzon létre a magyar közpolitikai folyamatok meghatározó aktorai – így a parlament, a média és a közvélemény szereplői – számára meghatározó ügyekről. A mérések megbízhatóságát az egyértelműen megszabott, koherens kódolási szabályok garantálják, amelyek révén a kormányzat prioritásainak változásai időben és közpolitikai területenként konzisztens módon nyomon követhetők. Az Egyéni választókerületek adatbázis az egyéni választókerületekről nyújt tájékoztatást az 1990 és 2010 közötti időszakról. Az adatok a magyar Nemzeti Választási Iroda hivatalos oldaláról (http://valtor.valasztas.hu/valtort/jsp/t0.jsp) származnak. Az adatbázisban szereplő legfontosabb változók az alábbiakra terjednek ki: az egyéni választókerület neve (smd_name), az egyéni választókerületi képviselő pártjának neve (party_affilitation) és a magyar települések hivatalos neve (settlement_name).
The Hungarian Comparative Agendas Project (CAP) takes place at MTA TK Institute for Poilitical Sciences. The purpose of the research is to reveal the dynamics of Hungarian public policy by investigating the various public policy and political agendas using quantiative methods. The project adapts the Policy Agendas Project’s public policy content analysis codebook created by Frank Baumgartner and Bryan Jones to the local environment. The research aims to create a consistent database of defining issues for the actors of Hungarian public policy - such as the parliament, the media, and the public actors. The reliability of the measurements is guaranteed by clearly defined, coherent coding rules, whereby the changes of the government’s priorities can be consistently traced in time and also in areas of the public policy. The Single Member Districts dataset contains information about the single member districts of Hungary from 1990 to 2014. The brief list of sources is from the official website of the Hungarian National Election Office (http://valtor.valasztas.hu/valtort/jsp/t0.jsp). The database includes the following main variables: name of the single member districts (smd_name), the name of the party of the MP elected in the single member districts (party_affilitation) and the official name of the Hungarian settlements (settlement_name).
