Abstract
A tanulmány a morális érzelmek és a politikai narratívák megjelenését vizsgálja három magyarországi politikus – Orbán Viktor, Magyar Péter és Toroczkai László – COVID–19-járványt értékelő videóiban. A kutatás célja annak a feltárása, hogy milyen módon használják a politikai szereplők a morális érzelmeket a kollektív emlékezet alakítására, valamint, hogy ezeket hogyan közvetítik a multimodális narratívák verbális és képi elemei. A narratívaelemzés eredményei alapján a kormánypárti videó nemzeti büszkeséget és összefogást hangsúlyozó narratívát alkalmaz, a Tisza Párt videójának központi eleme a feldolgozatlan trauma és a felelősségre vonás, míg a Mi Hazánk Mozgalom a „felébredés” és a rendszerkritika motívumára épít. A multimodális elemek, köztük a nemzeti szimbólumok, archív felvételek és statisztikák minden esetben tudatosan támogatják a videók érzelmi és morális kereteit.
This study examines the use of moral emotions and political narratives in three retrospective video statements on the COVID-19 pandemic by Hungarian political figures – Viktor Orbán, Péter Magyar and László Toroczkai. The research aims to explore how political actors employ moral emotions to shape collective memory and how these are conveyed through the verbal and visual elements of multimodal narratives. Based on the results of the narrative analysis we found that the pro-government video employs a narrative emphasizing national pride and unity, the Tisza Party’s video centers on unresolved trauma and the demand for accountability, while the Mi Hazánk Mozgalom video builds on the motifs of „awakening” and systemic critique. Multimodal features such as national symbols, archive footages and statistics consistently reinforce the videos’ intended emotional and moral framing.
